DataFeedWatch, which is part of WordWatch, Inc., provides a data feed management tool through a Software as a Service (SaaS) model. At DataFeedWatch, the privacy and security of our customers and visitors are of paramount importance. DataFeedWatch is committed to protecting the data you share with us.
This policy applies where DataFeedWatch is acting as a data processor and data controller with regards to the personal data you share with us. In this policy, we explain how DataFeedWatch processes information that can be used directly or indirectly to identify an individual collected through use of its website and platform. In other words, the collection and processing of personal data.
Throughout this policy, DataFeedWatch will define the term “User” as an entity where DataFeedWatch has an established relationship. We will also use the term “Visitor”, which we will define as an individual who visits our front-end, datafeedwatch.com and all subdomains, website.
Any information stored on DataFeedWatch’s platform is treated as confidential. All information is store and processed securely using Secured Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Information is only accessed by authorized personnel.

By visiting the DataFeedWatch website, you consent to the collection and use of your Personal Data as described herein. If you do not agree with the terms set out herein, please do not visit this website. If required by applicable law, we will seek your explicit consent to process Personal Data collected on this website or volunteered by you. Kindly note that any consent will be entirely voluntary. However, if you do not grant the requested consent to the processing of your Personal Data, the use of this website may not be possible.
DataFeedWatch may collect, record and analyze information of Visitors to its website. We may record usage data, which might include your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views, number of visitors and website navigation paths, as well as information about the timing, frequency and pattern of your service use.
DataFeedWatch may collect and process any Personal Data that you volunteer to us in our website’s forms, such as when you download eBooks, register for events or webinars, or sign up for information and newsletters. If you provide DataFeedWatch with your social media details, DataFeedWatch may retrieve publicly available information about you from social media.
Personal Data may also comprise of your first and last name, your postal and email address, your telephone number, your job title, data for social networks, your areas of interest, interest in DataFeedWatch, and certain information about the company you are working for (company name, address, company size, and number of products), as well as information as to the type of relationship that exists between DataFeedWatch and yourself.
DataFeedWatch uses third party services, like Hotjar, Fullstory, Intercom, Mixpanel, to better understand user needs and to optimize our service and the experience. These services help us better understand user behaviours (e.g. time spent on individual pages, links clicked, what users like or don’t, etc.) and enable us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. In the case of such services, cookies and other technologies are used to collect data on user behaviors, and devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Such services store data on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. They are contractually forbidden to sell any information collected on our behalf. No sensitive data like password or credit card numbers are collected.
DataFeedWatch uses collected website data to communicate with Visitors, to customize content for Visitors, to show ads on other websites to Visitors, and to improve its website by analyzing how Visitors navigate its website.
DataFeedWatch may disclose your Personal Data to any member of our group of companies (this means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and all its subsidiaries) insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes, and on the legal bases, set out in this policy.
DataFeedWatch may also share such information with service vendors or contractors in order to provide a requested service or transaction or in order to analyze the Visitor behavior on its website.

In order to provide services to its Users, DataFeedWatch collects certain types of data from them. This section will describe how User data is collected and used by DataFeedWatch.
During a User’s registration and later on DataFeedWatch’s platform, they provide information such as name, company name, email, address, telephone, credit-card number, eCommerce shop data, shopping channel usage, mapping rules, and other relevant data. This information is used by DataFeedWatch to identify the User and provide them with support, services, mailings, sales and marketing actions, billing and to meet contractual obligations.
DataFeedWatch Users can at any time access and edit, update or delete their contact details by logging in with their username and password to DataFeedWatch’s platform.
DataFeedWatch Users on certain plans may create more Users with different privilege levels within their account. These Users are identified as Subaccounts. It is the responsibility of the User that creates Subaccount User accounts to choose the level of access each User should have. Once these new Users log into DataFeedWatch, they meet the definition of a User in this policy.
DataFeedWatch will not retain User data longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws or regulations.
For Users with accounts located in DataFeedWatch’s European Data Region, all processing of Personal Data is performed in accordance with privacy rights and regulations following the EU Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995 (the Directive), and the implementations of the Directive in local legislation. From May 25th, 2018, the Directive and local legislation based on the Directive will be replaced by the Regulations (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and DataFeedWatch’s processing will take place in accordance with the GDPR.
DataFeedWatch processes Personal Data both as a Processor and as a Controller, as defined in the Directive and the GDPR.
The DataFeedWatch entity which you as a User entered an agreement with when using DataFeedWatch’s platform, will be the Controller for User data, as outlined above in “Collection of User data” section.
DataFeedWatch adheres to the Directive of 1995 and the GDPR from May 25th, 2018. Consequently, DataFeedWatch processes all data provided by its Users in accordance with the European Economic Area (EEA) requirements.
All data collected by DataFeedWatch Users through surveys will be stored in secure hosting facilities in Germany. DataFeedWatch has a data processing agreement in place with its provider, ensuring compliance with the Directive. All hosting is performed in accordance with the highest security regulations. All transfers of data internally are done in accordance with this data processing agreement.
DataFeedWatch complies with the PCI standards. We use HTTPS and other security best practices to ensure that all our customer's information is handled safely for each transaction. All processing, transmission, or storage of card data aligns with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
The Website allows you to choose not to provide personally identifiable information. However, if you opt not to disclose information to us, you may not be able to make a purchase or take advantage of certain features of the Website.
Customers may view and change their personally identifiable information by logging into their password-protected account. Once logged in, click the ‘Account Settings’ link. From here a customer may update their personal information, password, billing, and subscription information, including the ability to close their account.
It may take a reasonable period of time to respond to any request to cancel or modify an account. If you request the deletion or modification of your personal information maintained by DataFeedWatch, such information may be retained for a period of time in DataFeedWatch’s backup systems as a precaution against system failures. Some information may be retained for longer periods as required by law, contract or auditing requirements.
DataFeedWatch will not retain data longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws or regulations. When a Users’s account is terminated or expired, all Personal Data collected through the platform will be deleted, as required by applicable law.
You may instruct us to provide you with any personal information we hold about you.
You may instruct us at any time not to process your personal information for marketing purposes.
In practice, you will usually either expressly agree in advance to our use of your personal information for marketing purposes, or we will provide you with an opportunity to opt out of the use of your personal information for marketing purposes.
DataFeedWatch will reveal a user’s personal information without his/her prior permission only when we have reason to believe that the disclosure of this information is required to establish the identity of, to contact or to initiate legal proceedings against a person or persons who are suspected of infringing rights or property belonging to DataFeedWatch or to others who could be harmed by the User’s activities or of persons who could (deliberately or otherwise) transgress upon these rights and property. We are permitted to disclose personal information when we have good reason to believe that this is legally required.
