Problem

Before integrating with DataFeedWatch, our platform faced several challenges in managing the inventory and updating product listings.

One of the primary challenges was that we needed a solution that could integrate and update products quickly and seamlessly without requiring technical expertise from our vendors. Our existing process was laborious and time-consuming, which made it difficult to keep up with the daily updated products. On average, we spent about 30% of a full working day updating the product data.

This problem was exacerbated by the fact that many of our vendors did not have a dedicated developer who could create a daily updated CSV or XML file. As a result, we had to spend a significant amount of time manually inputting and updating product data, which was time-consuming and prone to errors.

In addition to these challenges, many of our vendors used different e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, and Magento, which made it difficult to find a tool or solution on how we can automatically download and synchronize product data.

We needed a solution that could help us manage the inventory efficiently and provide a seamless experience to our customers.

Solution & Results

Once we started working with DataFeedWatch in August 2020, we could accelerate the work.  The tool allowed us to:

  • Automate product downloads and updates

We could automatically download and synchronize product data several times a day from our vendors on different e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, and Magento, ensuring that our product data is always up-to-date. This has eliminated the need for manual inputting and updating of product data, saving us 100% of the time previously spent on these tasks and allowing us to focus on other areas of the business, such as customer support.
  • Optimize product information for our platform's requirements

DataFeedWatch allowed us to create custom rules to amend the quantity, product description, and filters according to our specific needs. This has enabled us to tailor the product information to our platform's unique requirements, ensuring that we can provide accurate and relevant information to our customers. Because of that, our annual turnover (Jan 2021 – Jan 2022) grew by 250%.

  • Work independently

Thanks to DataFeedWatch, we could integrate new collections quickly and seamlessly without requiring technical expertise from our vendors. This means that we're able to add new products to our platform within seconds, providing our customers with the latest and most innovative products.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, DataFeedWatch has helped Urbankissed streamline its inventory management process and provide a seamless experience to our customers and vendors. The tool has saved us time and improved the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management process. With the ability to create custom rules and tailor product information, we can provide our customers with accurate and relevant information, which has resulted in increased sales and customer satisfaction. This, in turn, led to positioning Urbankissed as a leading marketplace for ethical and sustainable brands.
