The end of summer seems to be a great time for some summaries!  At DataFeedWatch we haven’t lounged around the last few months and we're bringing a few major enhancements.

Redesigned Feed Review Dashboard


DataFeedWatch got an entirely redesigned Feed Review feature with issues sorting option to make it easier to detect and fix any feed errors.  


There were several changes introduced to the Feed Review. In a nutshell:


  • Issues are divided into Errors and Warnings
    This will serve better prioritization when troubleshooting feed issues. An error will stop the product from being eligible for shopping ads while a warning is only a recommendation and won't prevent your products from being shown.

  • Feed Quality Score is showing the overall health of your product feed
    Meet our scoring system based on thousands of feeds we’ve worked with!
     
  • Help articles are available for each issue type
    No more guesswork, take a shortcut to understand what each issue means and how to fix it

You may also configure Feed Review using the Settings page:

  • Specify the values you'd like to be reviewed for custom channels.
  • Find validators for fields with predefined values and adjusted them at any time.
  • Remove or add fields or whole validators. Or add some exceptions.

Beta Version of New Analytics Dashboard

 

DFW-Analytics allows you to track and compare the performance of all your products across your advertising channels.

The enhanced Analytics module is not only a leap forward from the design and technical point of view, but more importantly, it opens the door for very advanced enhancements in the future.

The New Analytics Dashboard is way faster and provides a better overview of the product statistics. It lets users easily manage which products are being sent to each channel.

For now, the following reports are available:

  • Channel Products: check how products perform in each of your channels.
  • Channels: check how your channels are doing in general.
  • Shop Products: check how your products do everywhere.

 

Optimizing your results with analytics

 

A few quick tips on how you can use analytics to your advantage

  • Find underperforming products
    Use filters to find products that are not performing as well as you'd hope. Perhaps it's worth looking into additional feed optimization for these items?

  • Remove unprofitable products wit a single click
    Removing products that only cost you money is a big saving. You will no longer waste your advertising dollars. Instead, invest them in profitable products.

  • Identify your winners
    You can easily identify the best performing products. One way of leveraging the identified bestsellers would be to create custom labels for them. Having custom labels in place you will be able to divide your Shopping campaign and adjust bidding specifically for your group of bestsellers.

  • Optimize across channels
    Analytics allows to track the performance of each product on every different channel

Merging Product Variants for Facebook

 

Advertising all variants doesn't always make sense as different variations may actually appear the same in Facebook Ads. Even though each product is unique, in practice you end up with ad duplicates.
Here's a solution to cut down on the number of products you send to Facebook - merging variations.

 

How merging variants works

 

It would not be possible to advertise only one version of a product on Facebook with multiple product variants without merging them. To do this, you need to choose what values ​​your final product should have.

It has now become available for Facebook Product Ads feeds in DataFeedWatch. You can customize the results by selecting the values ​​to include in each field.

Most fields are combined automatically, but there might a few where you'll need to decide which value to pass to the Facebook product catalog.

 

Tip: Especially useful for Shopify users! To make sure the product IDs in the Facebook catalog match the FB pixel,  you need to use the ID attribute in your feed (not the variant ID). Next, to avoid variant ID’s being replicated (from sending multiple variations with the same parent ID) you should use variant merging.


How to use variants merging in DFW

 

DataFeedWatch provides an option of merging product variants into one main product for some channels.

This usually requires having a rule in the Mapping with IDs assigned to the variants. The field that needs to be filled is item_group_id.

 

To merge product variants in your Facebook feed:

 

STEP 1: In DataFeedWatch, go to your shop

STEP 2: Select your Facebook Product Ads channel

STEP 3: In the Mapping page, click Merge Product Variants tab

STEP 4: Select one of the merging options for each field

Responsive Search Ads Available in Google Text Ads Service

 

This update will certainly make the users of our Feed-Driven Text Ads functionality happy! You can now use Responsive Text Ads with DataFeedWatch.

 

Responsive Search Ads—How does it work?

 

Responsive search ads allow you to create 15 headlines each of them with 30 characters and 4 times 90-characters description.

To get the most out of your responsive ads, Google suggests creating at least five unique headlines. But many other advertisers reported that 8 is optimal.

Google Ads will then choose the most relevant headline and description for that specific search.

This feature makes your ads more relevant to each search term and can help you improve the campaign performance.

Google ads will combine these headlines and descriptions to choose the most appropriate combination for each search. If you want to choose which headers and descriptions appear, you can pin them.

How to use Responsive Search Ads in DatafeedWatch?


We've made it easy for our users to take full advantage of responsive search ads. The feature is available free of charge to all existing users of DataFeedWatch Feed-Driven Search Ads. 


We kept the interface the same in favor of those who are familiar with our Google Text Ads Tool.


A key difference is getting individual settings for each header, while in a regular ad, you could only make changes to the entire template.


When creating responsive Search Ads, you will see the additional option of adding more headlines and descriptions.

Langify Translations Available for Shopify

 

When selling internationally you need the multi-country feeds. Since 2019 the multi-country feeds let you reach multiple countries with a single feed submission. Automated feeds are available in all Shopping Ads countries at last and DataFeedWatch expands your possibilities to go multi-country with a translation plugin.

 

How does it work with DataFeedWatch?

 

  • DataFeedWatch users are now able to import their Langify shop translations when adding a store to DataFeedWatch.
  • To use it, add your Shopify, wait for it to import, then go to Store Settings and choose the language version you wish to work with.
  • Adding multiple versions will be possible by adding separate shops in the DataFeedWatch interface.

Tip: Once you've mapped your product feed for one language version, you may want to apply the same feed configuration across other language versions. Use the 'Copy Shop' option for efficiency.
